Australian federal election


On September 7 this year Australians go to the polls. Voting is compulsory here so unless you have a good excuse or wish to pay the fine there is no choice. Here are the two main contenders for Prime Minister - Tony Abbott (Liberal party) and Kevin Rudd (Labor) who is the current PM. Last night they went head to head in a televised debate.   1. Amazing that voting is compulsory (could use that in the States) Looks like Rudd breathed "fire and brimstone" into the debate!
